“You are the light that shines for the world to see. You are like a city on a hill that cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14 ERV
In the Book of Matthew, Jesus calls us to be lights for the world to see. What if we started teaching children this idea from an early age? The Light of the World adventure is a way to teach children that they can share the love of Jesus through stewardship and help other kids just like themselves learn the Gospel. The Light of the World adventure is the perfect addition to Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, or a Christian school curriculum!
1. Children’s ministry leaders or Christian school teachers reach out to Bible League to sign up for the Adventure.
2. Each child will get a Bible Bank. They’ll use this to save money to give back to Bible League to send Bibles and Bible study materials to kids around the globe. Download our Calendar of Change as an easy way to start saving!
3. Bible League provides stories, activity sets, and Parent Connect activities throughout the year. Churches can use these as part of Vacation Bible School or Sunday School curriculum and parents can use these at home to help kids understand the impact they can have on other people. For example, if they save $5 in their Bible Bank, they’ll send a Bible to someone in need!
