Philippines CropDanielle is a 17-year-old high school student from Caloocan, Philippines. She grew up around church, but she hadn’t really put much thought into reading the Bible until one of her cousins invited her to a Project Philip Bible study. Danielle really enjoyed the study and felt like she could connect with the other teens there.

She notes, “I could share my problems with them during the session. I could tell them about my struggles, and I could hear them share their stories to which I could relate. Through sharing, I realized that we have the same experiences and struggles as youths. This kind of activity is really uplifting, and it encourages me to participate every week.”

Through the Bible study, Danielle has been learning more about God’s Word. She has found it to be a source of comfort and strength as she deals with her future in the pandemic. Danielle explains, “Philippians 4:13 has been my favorite verse. It says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I cling to this verse as I look forward to reaching my career goals when this pandemic ends.”

Today, Danielle knows that Jesus has changed her, and she invites others to attend Bible study with her. She says, “Please pray that the Lord may touch their hearts so they will join me in our youth gathering, where we can strengthen each other and experience the love of Jesus.”
